Diving Lake Denton
Lake Denton, tucked between Avon Park and Sebring about 90 minutes from Orlando, is a calm freshwater lake purpose-made for training. Gentle conditions, an easy entry, and submerged features make it a reliable classroom for building skills and confidence in the water.
Why we dive here
With no current and easy access, Lake Denton is ideal for Open Water certification dives and refreshers, and for Navigation practice — a line of small sunken boats around 20–25 feet gives you real targets to find and follow. It’s one of the sites where we run the navigation dive for the Advanced Open Water course.
